Sepsis

Many people have never ever heard of Sepsis. We all need to know the facts because Sepsis is a life-threatening condition. It occurs when the body’s response to an infection injures its own tissues and organs. Common signs include fever, increased heart rate and breathing and confusion.

Keeping people out of the hospital.  Peninsula Home Care has a great record for this. A November 2015 reports shows a patient readmission rate of 7.8%, compared to the state average of 12.5% and National average of 11.7%.
