Peninsula Home Care at Nanticoke Welcomes Five New Staff Members to the Delaware Team
Published on - July 17, 2017Seaford, DE – Peninsula Home Care at Nanticoke (PHCN), an award-winning home care agency on the Lower Shore of Delmarva, is pleased to announce the addition of four new staff members to its Seaford, Delaware team.
“It is exciting to have the opportunity to bring on new talent and expertise and watch our team evolve,” said Beverly White, Peninsula Home Care at Nanticoke branch director. “As our team expands so does our reach and ability to better serve the surrounding community. We are thrilled that all four individuals have decided they want to grow with Peninsula Home Care at Nanticoke.”
Bruce Davis
Davis joins the PHCN Seaford office as a Physical Therapy Assistant, bringing with him ten years of experience within the physical therapy field. He will be providing quality physical therapy care within a plan of care established by a licensed PHCN physical therapist. Some of his previous work endeavors include Rehab Dynamix at Harbor Health Rehab in Lewes, DE and Beebe Hospital.
“Seeing people improve week after week and the inspiration I receive from them are a few of my favorite parts of working in home care”, states Bruce.
Bruce received his Physical Therapy Assistant Degree at Baltimore City Community College and an Associate degree in Applied Science (AAS) in land surveying at Tyler Jr. College. He is involved in the State Police Citizens Academy and has volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Vitas Hospice. He currently resides in Frankford, Delaware.
Valerie Roth
Valerie joins the PHCN Seaford office as a Clinical Manager Process Improvement (CMPI), bringing with her twenty-four years of experience in the healthcare industry. Valerie is responsible for reviewing and auditing cases as well as implementing improvements. Roth worked in numerous nursing homes, physical therapy rehab facilities and the Department of Corrections.
“My favorite part of working in home care is knowing that I can be a part of a team that gives people an opportunity to stay in their own homes with their family as their health improves. I also like to bring good quality care to those who may not have family to take care of them. PHCN is a very compassionate and caring group of people”, said Valerie.
Valerie is a graduate of Delaware Technical College in Georgetown, DE. She was a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department for five years. She currently resides in Seaford, DE.
Teresa Deshields
Teresa joins the PCHN Seaford office as a CNA, bringing with her thirty years of experience. Her role is to assist the elderly with their daily living needs. Deshields has previously worked as a CNA at Addus Healthcare and Generation Home Healthcare.
“Making sure that my clients are well taken care of and that they feel happy, respected and cared for and they want me to come back is my favorite part of working in home care”, states Teresa.
Teresa received her CNA license in 1990 and has enjoyed taking care of the elderly for her entire thirty-year career. Some of her past honors include receiving ‘Employee of the Month’ and perfect attendance awards. She currently resides in Seaford, DE.
Ashlee Hitchens
Ashlee joins the PCHN Seaford Office as an RN Case Manager. She brings with her sixteen years of experience in the medical field; seven years as an RN. Hichens is responsible for patient case management and care. She was previously employed in the Med Surg/IMC units at Milford Memorial Hospital and was a Pediatric Trach/Vent Nurse and RN Case Manager.
“I enjoy having the opportunity to make a difference in patients’ lives, in a time when they need it the most, while helping to make their life more manageable”, said Ashlee.
Ashlee has an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. She received ‘Nurse of the Year’ in 2015 while working for a previous company. She currently resides in Seaford, DE.
Lauren Allaband
Lauren joins the PCHN Seaford Office as an LPN, bringing with her eight years of experience. Allaband is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients in the comfort of their own home. Her previous employment includes urgent/primary care, women’s health care and private duty nursing home care.
“Providing care to patients in the comfort of their own home and being able to provide the care to make that possible are my favorite parts of working in home care”, states Lauren.
Lauren has an LPN degree and is currently enrolled in an RN program. She has previously assisted in canned food drives within her community. She currently resides in Harrington, DE.
