Peninsula Home Care at Nanticoke Welcomes Three New Staff Members to the Delaware Team

SEAFORD, DE – Peninsula Home Care, an award winning home care agency on the Lower Shore of Delmarva, welcomed three new staff members to the Delaware team in Seaford.

“Our team continues to grow with the demand for home health care services in our community,” said Robyn Coughenour, Peninsula Home Care at Nanticoke. “We have a highly skilled team of healthcare professionals that live, work and raise their families here in Delaware. They are committed to the health of the community as a whole and greatly value the quality care they provide to each patient they touch.”

New to the team include the following:

Melissa Keiper - Peninsula Home Care SeafordMelissa Keiper, Seaford

Melissa brings eleven years of experience in the nursing field to her role as a Clinical Manager – Performance Improvement. Before joining the Delaware team, she worked for Penn State Health Care Partners Integrated Network assisting patients in the Medicare Shared Savings Program. She also has previous experience as a staff nurse, charge nurse, supervisor and assistant nurse manager. Melissa received her Masters of Science in Nursing/Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management from the University of Phoenix and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kutztown University. She also has a certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing. Before relocating to Delaware, Melissa actively volunteered for Habitat for Humanity ReStore and numerous health fairs promoting wellness in the community of her hometown in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Academy of Med-Surg Nurses (AMSN) and Sigma Theta Tau where she received a Nursing Excellence Award in 2014 for team collaboration by her peers. Melissa looks forward to working with the Peninsula team to provide high quality, cost effective, care to the patients in the community and work to improve wellness of community members.


Tyra Geary - Peninsula Home Care SeafordTyra Geary, Seaford

Tyra has more than nine years of experience in the registered nursing field as she joins Peninsula Home Care at Nanticoke. Previously Tyra worked in roles as a charge nurse on a rehabilitation unit, unit manager, adult medical day care, admission registered nurse for Hospice and an Emergency Room nurse. She earned her Associates Degree in Nursing Science and currently resides in Wicomico County, Maryland.


Katrina Dixon-Parker - Peninsula Home Care SeafordKatrina Dixon-Parker, Seaford

Katrina was recently hired by Peninsula Home Care at Nanticoke as a licensed practical nurse PRN to provide skilled nursing to home bound patients and education to patients and their families under the direction of the registered nurse case manager. She brings nineteen years of experience to the position in previous roles as a certified nursing assistance and license practical nurse.  Katrina is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from Strayer University.  She is very thankful home care provides her the opportunity to perform rewarding, meaningful work every day by helping patients manage the daily activities in the comfort of their homes. She enjoys educating patients and their family members about healthy lifestyles and preventative safety measure. Katrina currently resides in Sussex County, Delaware.
